Basement shelf
In my basement I have taken a more casual approach to decorating. Maintaining the same icicle lights that I’ve used on the main floor spread along a raw edge maple shelf, I’ve added these adorable cheeky penguins that I found at Safeway! You just never know what you’re going to find at a grocery store! Don’t feel like you need to overdo the Christmas decor. Sometimes simpler is better allowing one or two pieces to take center stage.
