mini trend: elephants

Elephants seem to be in a category all their own. They fit into any type of decor from a traditional living room to a young child’s bedroom. Elephants are exotic. They exude both sophistication and whimsy. Symbolizing wisdom, they also add a sense of mystery and character to a space. Regardless of their placement, an elephant of any kind or style will bring strength to your decor or even fashion. Go ahead! Indulge in some exotic flavor for your space.

I hesitate even calling this a ‘mini-trend’ as elephants can be a classic and timeless addition to any room.

  1. You are always so on point with your trends Nyla. Love that you have an “ear to the ground” as far as interiors for us and this is such a great post!

  2. Hi Nyla, thank you for including one of our elephant cards in your post. We have at least half a dozen cards with vintage elephants on them. For as long as I can remember there have been vintage elephants in my creative world. We had shelves of Indian silver elephant bells in our home in Scotland. We even had weird antique ceramic elephants feet planters. They will always be a part of Cartolina! Thanks, Fiona

  3. well spotted! I used to collect elephant figurines as a teenager, after being told they brought good fortune.. looks like I should have held on to them :)

  4. beautiful round-up, nyla! i have always loved elephants. there is something so melancholy yet wise about their faces, their beautiful eyes. funny, i’m cutting out a whole fleet of little mini elephant buckets right now :) thanks for including me here!
