You know those lingering home projects you save for a rainy day? Admittedly, I seem to have several and because we’ve had dreary days as of late I feel the need to get some of these item crossed off my list as they do seem to hover don’t they? That, and we’ve got company in and out over the next few weeks. Always a good excuse to do some tidying.
And with that, I’m happy to report we’re half way through June. While I’m not one to wish away time, Mom’s around the world will agree June is chaotic. It’s a close second to December so thankfully they’re six months apart giving us time to recover. We had one of those weekends of to and fro, here and there and then I decided to add a birthday party into the mix. Somehow when you’re busy you feel the need to take on more. What’s with that? Anyway I digress….
One of my tasks (which I enlisted the help of my oldest daughter) was to sort through some outgrown clothes piling up in a small room we have off our master bedroom. It started out as a nursery for our second daughter (perfect to have baby close by), however now it’s become the catch-all space or dumping ground if you will. I have high hopes for turning it into a Mom-cave/ reading room/ hideout kind of space.
It’s a small 8×12 room, but with large, floor to ceiling windows on three of the four walls it’s bright and airy feeling. While this room is much larger than ours I’m digging the vibe and overall feel.

I’m itching to get started on another project as our basement is finally done. You’ll see more of this space in the coming days. Stay tuned!
