The Best Green Paint Colours

Green is the second most favoured colour aside from blue. It is the symbol of balance, spring, nature and rebirth. With positive attributes such as vitality, freshness, prosperity and growth, green is a calming force of colour within a home, whether intended or not.

It a colour of neutrality, meaning it is compatible with most colours and brings a sense of nature from outside in. Whether forrest green, teals, sages or mint, green is a neutral and a colour all the same. It's the best of both worlds. How can you go wrong?

More often than not we select white paint colours for the interior of our design projects. It's fresh, modern and offsets the texture, colour and pattern we bring into so many of our projects. In our new office space we decided to step outside of our own box and select a rich green for Ana's office. We even Ikea hacked our storage cabinet to be painted the same colour as the walls to blend in and not draw attention to the utilitarian aspect of our file storage.

If you recall this image from our Country House project we shared on Instagram, we painted the dining room curio cabinet, Benjamin Moore: Kelly Green 2037-30, a welcome stand out colour for the otherwise neutral space. More on this later as we're excited to be photographing this home in the coming weeks!

In honour of St. Patrick's Day, we're celebrating the colour green, and sharing our most favourite green paint colours. So without further ado, here are our top picks.

1. Benjamin Moore: Salamander 2050-10 | 2. Behr: Hillside Grove M380-5 | 3. Canadian Tire Premier: Lemon Grass PR16J24 | 4. Benjamin Moore: Ocean Tropic 2052-10 | 5. Cloverdale: Malarca 0548
