Gift Guide: Mother's Day 2022
Let me preface this post by saying this is by no means a way for me to drop subtle hints to my daughters {wink wink}, or solicit gifts. I appreciate that moms are hard to buy for and showing any mother, grandmother, aunt, or amazing woman in your life how much you love her often come with gifting her something to make her feel extra special.
Some of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve received have not been elaborate or over the top, rather lovely items that I use daily, or regularly and even a few I’ve bought for myself ;)
Referrals and suggestions are a great way to find new products, recipes, restaurants, experiences and services, and sometimes it’s simply nice to hear someone else’s “must haves” to consider adding to your own. So while there’s always the idea of making, or taking your mom out for her favourite meal, spoiling her with flowers, or spending time doing her go-to activity, in the spirit of Julie Andrews, here are a few of my favourite things.
Wine I purchased Summer Water Rosé a few years ago because I loved the label and turns out the taste is just as good. | Necklace A more elaborate gift idea, but one I wear regularly. This subtle Elsa Peretti bean from Tiffany’s is a “go with anything” staple. | Book I adore this book! It sits on my coffee table for me to pick up often and read an excerpt on an inspiring women in a creative industry. There’s so much to learn, and love in this book. | Hair & Body Oil With Calgary’s dry weather this product is something I use daily. It leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished rather than oily. As soon as I start running low, I make sure to restock. | Marble Tray I love having something pretty to set my jewelry down on at the end of the day. A marble tray from our shop is the perfect perch. | Gua sha I’ve only recent started using a Gua Sha but am hooked on the ritual, and overall feeling of this item. | Nail Polish Espressie is my new favourite nail polish for it’s “paint and go” properties and selection of colours. I love the subtle pink hues! | Perfume This is my all day, everyday scent. | Electronic Foot File My daughters gave me an Amopé foot file years ago and it’s one of my favourite things. It helps keep my dry heels in check, and offers a spa at home feeling when I take the time to self pedicure. | Shower Gel/ Bubble Bath Another favourite gift, and so indulgent! I feel so special when I fill my tub with a little Chanel | Glass Candleholder If you’ve seen my coffee table, or visited our shop as of late, you’ll recognize this candleholder. I light candles almost daily, and I absolutely love these ones. The glass adds an extra sparkle and the colour is beautiful.
