Lately Loving: Jet Black

We receive so many inquiries on the colour of our sample library doors. They are a statement in the office and get a lot of attention.

So the secret’s out!

Jet Black 2120-10 by Benjamin Moore is one of our favourite black paint colours and we love how our wall of doors turned out in this striking colour. We’ve been specifying it in some capacity on almost every project as of late. We chose a satin finish which is ideal for doors and trims, and accented the three sets of doors with brass hardware. We also selected black hinges in order to keep the overall look clean and cohesive.

The black doors offer a bold statement within our otherwise white space.

I love black. Doors, accent walls, tile, wallpaper, millwork you name it, I’m a fan. Sophisticated, neutral, classic and bold, you can never go wrong with black.

On a fashion note, did you watch the Oscar’s? Lady Gaga’s black dress was beautiful. Accented by the 30 million dollar Tiffany yellow diamond necklace and WOW. Because I’m such a fan of yellow it’s like a match made in heaven! Admittedly, I’m not a huge Gaga fan from a music perspective, but the dress she wore during her performance with Bradley Cooper, was outstanding and my favourite of the entire night. I was gaga over it!! I haven’t been able to find out where it came from, but I’m dying to know. Not that I’m in the market for a black ballgown, but you never know! It’s always good to be prepared ;)
